Decidr 2026 US AI Readiness Index
In March, key members of the Decidr leadership team were in Singapore for the launch of the Decidr Singapore AI Readiness Index 2026, presented at the U.S. Capital Access Forum and received by investors, policymakers and enterprise leaders grappling with the same pointed question: are we actually building AI-ready organisations?
Now, we've aimed that same lens at the US.
The Decidr 2026 US AI Readiness Index
We surveyed 1,226 American decision makers. The headline findings are confident. The detail underneath it is a warning. Here are three risks hiding behind the numbers, and the opportunities they unlock.
1. Confidence is running ahead of capability
88% of US decision makers expect AI to have greater impact over the next 12 months, and 81% say it has already enhanced their operations and growth. But 46% also say implementation has been difficult. Belief has been won. Execution is where the market is now stuck.
2. The tool phase is not the transformation phase
68% of current AI value comes from assistants and copilots. Only 6% of businesses have deployed a centralised AI platform across the whole business, and just 18% have AI embedded across multiple functions. Most businesses have gotten AI into people's hands. Far fewer have turned it into shared infrastructure.
3. The real blocker is workflow, not technology
73% of businesses report experiencing delays because critical processes are known only by a small number of employees. That's not an AI problem, but it's the reason AI struggles to scale. When knowledge lives in pockets, AI has no solid ground to work from. Closing this gap is the single most important thing businesses can do to unlock the next wave of value.
The businesses that close these gaps won't just avoid risk, they'll compound advantage. That's the premise behind everything we're building — helping businesses move from scattered intent to practical, scalable execution.
